Attensity today announced its Exhaustive Extraction technology has been integrated with the BusinessObjects XI Release 2. The newly expanded technology partnership between Attensity and Business Objects is part of the Business Objects Open Search Initiative (OSI), a new partner network of leading text analytics, enterprise search, and consulting companies.
Through this technology partnership, business and government users will be able to intuitively interact with vast stores of information - everything from call center notes and customer emails to surveillance reports - to discover facts, trends and insights without having to be experts in the BI system itself. Companies can identify critical, previously undetectable events and relationships between data by unifying unstructured and structured sources using data integration, data quality, and semantic reconciliation.
"As part of our Open Search Initiative and the launch of new search capabilities in BusinessObjects XI Release 2 Productivity Suite, Business Objects is embracing text analytics to help facilitate data exploration, reporting, and analysis of structured and unstructured data," said Wyatt Mullin, vice president of global ISV channels at Business Objects. "Companies using our BI solutions with Attensity's Exhaustive Extraction technology will now be able to access information contained within unstructured data sources to discover answers to critical questions they haven't even thought of asking."
Attensity is an official Technology Partner of Business Objects and a leading proponent of its enterprise information management (EIM) solutions. EIM is a combination of strategy, practices and open technologies for delivering trusted, integrated and timely information. Attensity's out-of-the-box integration with Business Objects enables customers to output newly structured facts directly into the data warehouse. Through EIM, Attensity can also reconcile metadata it produces with metadata already stored in the corporate data system. Attensity can even leverage the data quality capabilities of the Business Objects EIM solution for cleansing and de-duping.
"Attensity is pleased to join the Business Objects Open Search Initiative and offer a truly unique Text Analytics solution for the BusinessObjects XI platform," said Craig Norris, Attensity's chief executive officer. "By combining capabilities that deliver 360-degree data search and analysis, Attensity and Business Objects will help customers identify their most challenging issues, produce the most accurate metrics, and make the most informed business decisions using information previously hidden in text."
