Dimensional Insight (DI) announced today that Kentucky-based Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) has implemented its on-demand business intelligence (BI) suite, InterReport. InterReport will provide HMH with the ability to enhance its reporting and analysis processes. The solution focuses on many areas in the organization from Financial Reporting to Core Measures reporting, as well as analysis to support Quality Initiatives – all within a hosted environment.

Through the use of a simple point-and-click interface, DI’s on-demand solution provides users with immediate access to key information, enabling better management and tracking of administrative, financial and clinical data from any MEDITECH or non-MEDITECH system. “InterReport is a fully hosted On-Demand BI solution. The SaaS (software-as-a-service) model is well-suited to healthcare where the focus should be on enhancing patient care, not developing the IT skills necessary to create, deploy and maintain an integrated BI application,” states Christel Fowkes, Director of Health Care at Dimensional Insight.

"Retrieving the type of data we need from MEDITECH can be difficult. We wanted a solution that allowed us to easily access our data to analyze factors such as critical lab test notification processes, key financial metrics, utilization information and review of core measures for heart failure abstracts. This solution empowers our Department Managers by giving them immediate access to their information without the need to involve IT – self service reporting is a major initiative for us,” explains Martha Sullivan, Director of Information Systems at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Don Wynn, Director of Ancillary Services, adds: “I was able to create reports in minutes that used to take 3-4 business days. Harrison Memorial was introduced to Dimensional Insight through DI’s active involvement in the Medical User’s Software Exchange (MUSE). Dimensional Insight has been a commercial member of the organization for the past four years and sponsored the CIO Executive Institute at the MUSE International Conference in 2007.
