White Paper : Designing Executive Dashboards
Corporate dashboards are becoming the “must have” business intelligence technology for executives and business users across corporate America. Dashboard solutions have been around for over a decade, but have recently seen a resurgence in popularity due to the advance of enabling business intelligence and integration technologies. This paper discusses how to create an effective operational dashboard and some of the associated design best practices. Download

Viador today announced the release of Viador ReportOne/Analyzer to complement its existing product suite. ReportOne/Analyzer provides Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) capabilities directly from any supported web browser, accessing a variety of data sources. Executives, business analysts, and other knowledge workers will gain immediate insights into their data, and increased productivity from this new Viador product.

Viador ReportOne/Analyzer provides true full-function web-based OLAP capability, without the need for any extra client-installed or downloaded software (an area of critical security and administration concern to many corporations). With this capability, users are able to easily create data views, interactively analyze them, drill into detail, and chart multidimensional reports, using any supported web browser. Viador ReportOne/Analyzer is ideally suited to the needs of the small and medium business (SMB) market, due to its architecture, ease of use, and minimal support requirements -- yet ReportOne/Analyzer is flexible and powerful enough to scale up to support thousands of users with Enterprise-class performance.

ReportOne/Analyzer is the first product of Viador's new native J2EE-based complete Report and Analytics product suite, called "ReportOne." It is built with a zero-footprint DHTML interface, open APIs, and offers a JSR168-compliant portlet to integrate with industry standard portals, such as IBM WebSphere Portal. ReportOne/Analyzer is fully compliant with all relevant open standards, such as JAAS security and XML. This architecture leverages the strength of J2EE and its rich universe of supporting products. As a result, Viador can offer unmatched scalability and future-compatibility for its ReportOne/Analyzer. It is designed for ease of installation, administration, deployment, and use; this enables very rapid return on investment (ROI) and low total cost of ownership.

"We are pleased to again offer industry-leading products to the reporting and analytics community," said Stan Wang, CEO of Viador. "With Viador ReportOne/Analyzer, users can have unparalleled ease of use, open architecture, and scalability to securely access a variety of analytic data sources."

"Our customers have been very happy with Viador products, and Viador ReportOne/Analyzer will fill a real need for open, scalable analytics for the non-technical user," said Sherilyn Janson, President of Bridge Info Tech of Scottsdale, Arizona. "Viador provides the type of products that SMB customers need to provide them with quick, high return on investment based on minimal infrastructure and resources. Still, they can scale to support very large enterprise deployments."
